CoRoT/Kepler: the new deal for exoplanets

Scientific rationale

The COROT and Kepler missions, along with several ground-based projects, have recently allowed the observation of a large number of exoplanet transits. These projects have not only significantly increased the number of known exoplanets, but the have also provided unique information about exoplanetary systems:

The workshop will review the various ongoing projects and discuss in detail the data analysis in particular characterization of the host star, the statistics of physical parameters measured by transit and its implication for the mechanism of formation and evolution of exoplanetary systems.
